As a leading global engineering and technology services company, Siemens provides innovative solutions to help tackle the world’s major challenges.
The Rail Focus magazine’s primary aims are to inform, inspire, and build reader pride among 14,000 UK employees — creating a sense of a ‘one Siemens’ voice and community, covering an incredibly broad range of products, projects and services.
For this project I was tasked to design 3 double page spreads for the magazine. The following assets were provided: PDF of the previous Rail Focus issue, body copy, brand guidelines (typography and colour palettes) and a style guide (working with the organisation logo).
Using InDesign, 3 double page inserts were created adhering to Siemens brand identity. Basic graphic design principles were also exercised such as use of colour, balance, proximity, alignment, visual hierarchy and negative space.
